G'day,
Now... you will need to find out which one is your priority: work or study?
If study is your priority, then you will need to find out which institution that you want to study in. To find out the course that you want to take and where it is offered, I suggest you to go to IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au). IDP is an organisation that gives information to international students who wants to continue their study in Australia. Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification (in English and original language).
There are only 39 universities in Australia and they are tightly controlled, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content.
After offered for a place to study in the institute/uni, you will then apply for student visa to come to study in Australia. Once arrive in Australia you can apply for a work permit. Please be advised that as a holder of student visa, you can ONLY work max 20hrs/week during school days and full-time ONLY during holiday period. Therefore you cannot rely on the income from working in Australia to support yourself. Please plan your budget carefully.
If your priority is work, you will need to apply for a working visa. Depending on which country you come from, you may be eligible to apply. Contact your nearest Australian Embassy/High Comm to find out. After got your visa, you can come for work and part-time study.
Hope this helps. You can e-mail me on mikegun@studentfirst.com.au if you have further questions abt study in Australia. Good luck and welcome to Australia :)

www.australia.gov.au is the portal for the Australian government and you will find it is one of the best organised websites for government around the world.
To study in Australia you just need to have the money to enrol in a course and they accept you in the course. I believe now to work and study you have to enrol in a course that is at least 12 months wrong (check out the website).
For working (without studying) you need 5.5 IELTS English test score, and the right qualificaitons and experience to get enough points. You can find it in the immigration section on the Australian government website. Generally speaking, it is hard to move to Australia to work, because Australia is a small country but lots of people want to go there (try Canada and New Zealand as the 2 easier countries).
