Here is how I feel: I like him, and want him to do well, but yes, I'm going to be hard on him. I want him to earn those pinstripes. I'm glad he's off to a great start, but I want him to do it in the postseason.

So Yankees fans, tell me, what is your real feeling about A-Rod?

I like a-rod, he is kinda in a no win situation. Yankee fans who give him a hard time, will be silent if he opts out and goes to the Angels or worse, the red sox. I think he will stay, I hope so. He costs the yanks 14 mil a year as texas picks up the remaining. Who else it going to play 3rd base ? True, his post season numbers are not up there. But time and time again, the Yankees biggest problems in the post season has been PITCHING! Starting pitching, throughout the year. Our bullpen is GOOD, but they get worn out, from having to pitch from the 5th or 6th inning EVERY night. This year has been no different. Randy Johnson's era was 5 last year and won 17 games. Does that sound like something arod not hitting in the clutch is causing them to lose? In Oct it's all about pitching, that is the # 1 reason we have not hung around too long!

I'm sorry, I'm a die hard Red Sox fan and I had to answer this question. I think A-Rod is one of the greatest hitters in the game today. I think he thrives on low pressure situations which is why he isn't a great clutch hitter. But, this also makes it hard for him to perform in front of 50,000 Yankee fans. I would love to see him come to Boston, but I don't think he would do to well either here (but still, anything is a step up from Mike Lowell). If he really wants to do well he needs to be on a good team with a non Fenway/Wrigley/Yankee Stadium type fans. I think his best fit would be playing either short of third in Toronto.

You know something? I was very upset last yr with Ny Fans,Listen i know Arod didn't come through in a clutch,But neither did the other 28 players we had! Everytime we lost it was Arod's fault! What about the Moose? he couldn't even hold on to a 3-1 lead! Wright only pitched 4 innings! Mr slugger (Sheffield) hit squats! No one came through,Arod was delt a bum hand! I guess this yr he has a different attitude,he got alot off his chest this winter! if ny doesn't give him the respect he deserves he's gone!!! And i would hate for that to happen!

I am RED SOX fan, but I intend to respond anyway!! You ask!! We respond!! A-Rod is one of the truly great players in the game today!! How dare you measure his greatness by what he does in the playoffs!! Does your boss evaluate you on 4-7 days of your work or on the total performance over the year?? Don't be ridiculous in your demands. He is a "
natural" at shortstop and plays a decent third base. He is among the best hitters in the game today. New York fans, especially Yankee duds like you, do not deserve to have great players like him. It was really nice of you to say you "like" him. I am sure he will be forever grateful for your deep insight and patronizing compliment.

Chow!!

He is awesome. I think it is a load of s**t when he gets boo's. No one on the team came through in the post season the last two years, yet everyone wants to blame him. I love the Yankees and was ecstatic to get him. During his "supposedly" bad year last year, he led the team in RBI's and had 35 Homeruns. And when sombody of his caliber is willing to change positions to play for a certain team, then he obviously really wanted to be with the Yankees.I mean I love Jeter but A-Rod is the best "shortstop" in MLB!

gotta love A-Rod! Yep, he messed up towards the end of last season. Yep, he led the league in errors. The only reason this was actually noticed by anyone is b/c they were ticked by how much $$$ he was making in the first place. Unfortunately, now he doesn't get the respect he deserves, but I think he's a great player. Although I do think Jeter is the better shortstop, but I guess that's just personal opinion.

i like Arod. He keeps all the attention on long island, and that they fail miserably with him, twelve months in and twelve months out. he's a useful participant, yet he drags down his team. right this is the modifications between him and Manny Ramirez, the different arguable slugger contained in the sport right this moment. a million) Manny wins championships. he's have been given 2 rings, and a WS MVP. whilst crunch time comes, Manny possibilities up the team and incorporates them on his lower back. Arod in basic terms strikes out. conversing of spectacular out.... 2) appreciate. Arod is a slugger, yet gets no appreciate from pitchers through fact he strikes out. whilst he comes lower back, Tex will nonetheless walk, through fact opposing pitchers comprehend they might strike Arod out. constructive, he will hit some homers whilst they try that, yet oftentimes, he will take a seat. With Manny contained in the lineup, he will improve the traditional of all the gamers around him by using a sturdy 10-20 factors. in basic terms ask Ethier, Kemp and Hudson what his presence has performed for them. 3) constructive controversy. pink Sox followers can say what they'll approximately Manny, yet for years, his antics have been relaxing, and helped bolster morale on the team. whilst issues have been given annoying, he grow to be there with a grin and a shaggy dog tale, and next element you knew, pink Sox have been triumphing. Down 3-0 contained in the playoffs, all Manny reported grow to be "If we lose, that's not the top of the international." The media jumped throughout that, yet what did the Sox do? Win 4 today. Arods controversy is self-serving egotism, which on no account fails to injury his team.

He will go down as the best ever. He should be playing short not Jeter. The Yankees havent had enough pitching to win not AROD's fault. Idiots only blame it on him and not the facts.

I don't like his personality, but cannot argue that he is a great player. He needs to continue to play well to justify the rediculous contract he has. Either way, I think he opts out of his contract next year and heads to a more media/fan friendly team like the Angels.

I love A-rod, he is so eager to please which is what gets him in those droughts sometimes. He geniunely wants to be accepted in New York and he tries very hard. The only problem is that the pressure he puts on himself makes him choke occasionally. I wish for Alex to have a successful BOO-free career in New York.
