some u.k. bands that you might want to check out (but their sounds aren't exactly like the bands you mentioned) are Orson, The Fratellis, Snow Patrol, Maximo Park, The Futureheads, and The Stills. also, some OTHER punk bands you might want to check out, who aren't from the u.k. are The Almost, Madina Lake, Amber Pacific, Emanuel, and A Change of Pace.

I don't know about UK bands, sorry. But there are good bands out there such as Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance. Their songs are great- have a listen!

Well they aren't a recent band but what about Queen?? Or some other recent artists (not sure what type you listen to) are like MIKA or Lady Sovereign. That is about all i can offer you
