Hot lemon and honey drink.

dissolve 1 teaspoon of honey in a mug of boiling water, with a squeeze of lemon. Relax in a comfy chair and sip.

Vitamin C in the lemon juice builds your immune system. Lemon juice and honey both have antibacterial properties. Honey also has anti fungal properties, and I wouldn't be surprised if it has antiviral properties as well. The hot water and honey actually sooth a sore thoat and the hot water and steam help to clear your blocked nose. The water also helps to rehydrate your body. And you can have it as often as you like.

To beat a cold you really need to get plenty of rest as well.

Take care.

Definitely a steam inhale including some tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil and menthol. Inhale the steam for as long as it is hot, and make sure you gargle with dissolved aspirin to soothe the sore throat.
If you are hungry then eat, if not, ensure you drink LOTS - hot or cold, doesn't really matter but you lose a lot of fluid with snot etc (sorry) so you must keep up levels.
Do the inhale thing as many times a day as you can, will really help to get rid of the cold faster!
Good luck

Take 20 black pepper seeds just crack them do not powder add this to 30 ml of water and boil it till it becomes 20 ml and then filter the decotion while hot only ( so that the seeds do not reabsorb the pepper oil) cool it and gulp the decotion in one go. This you can do three or four times a day and you will get relief from cold & sore throat immediately and permanent relief within two days. Note This I have done for myself and for more than 100 persons and everybody got the relief much, much better than any medicines.

Gargle with warm salt water for your throat. A cold will go away on its own after 3 to 7 days. If you are stuffed up, steam will help loosen the congestion. That's why eating hot soup is good. You're inhaling the steam while you're eating. If you have a room humidifier, use that.

Vitamin C (eg fruits that contain Vitamin C), gargle with salt & water & (first boiled & then cooled to a "safe" tempertaure, the lukewarmish is better as cold water can irriate a sore throat).
Also drink lemon juice & honey with hot water.
Also Echinacea is very good as it boosts your immune system naturally.Health shops & Boots sell it.

I like this question! Whenever I get a cold I down Echinacea/Goldenseal. It comes in a small bottle and it's a tincture and you put the whole dropperful in some juice and get it down ya. You will start to feel better in less than a week and it'll help fight the infection you've got. I hope this works.

you can buy this at a good health food store.
