My husband is 8 years older than me and I'm very happy. Age shouldn't make a difference (within reason and legal boundaries) as long as you love each other. Sometimes age issues come up with us, he has eight years more life experience than me so he can tend to know a little more (sometimes that bugs me and we can't relate) but love conquers all. My parents have 5 years difference and after 35 years they are still happily married, it's not too bad. Good luck.

5 Yrs is nothing, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldnt unless on the off chance though he is underage then you have problems.
My bf is 8 Yrs older than me and so was my ex fiance. Love knows no boundaries if you are both willing to love honour and obey for the rest of your life then go for it girl!! :-) You only get one shot at happiness dont let a few years get in the way.

hey. I'm 11 years older and age does not matter, you still have all the problems any other couple have. sometimes i use my age as an excuse for my problems, but deep down i know its only an excuse, sort of like using being fat as an excuse when the real reason is your just being hard to get along with, know what i mean.

wow, i alwys thought it was not right for a woman to be involved with a younger guy, cause when we get older than he might look for a younger girl, may get tired of the old sag...dont know that was my theory...but i have a sister that says...the older the better...the sweeter the juices...lol..however now that i read all this comments to your question from all this ppl...i'd say "hey just go for it"...why not, if your happy and he doesnt care...just do it. This ppl commenting made me see things different. "Love is Blind" we should just follow our hearts, and the age well lets just say..."thank you lord for all this years you have given me of life". Go for it, if you love him dont let the age get in your way.
Good luck

My wife is 7 years older than me. My brothers wife is 3 years older than him. My brother's humorous quip has always been; given the longer life expectancy of women, that they will just "die at the same time." Age is merely a number that we humans have ascribed to our short time here on the planet. Enjoy your time where you find happiness. Good luck.

If he is over 18 yes. Five years is not a bad thing in a relationship as long as both parties are over 18 and know how they feel for each other and love each other

My husband is 5 years younger than me. I had a much bigger problem with it than he did. He actually didn't care at all. Just talk about it and work through the issue, then...
Go for it!

of cors!! age is all in the mind. whats important is your relationship. If all is working well without having brought up any issue regarding that then please do so. Its your own freewill, do not allow yourself to be dictated by the society. Afterall, its your life therefore its your privilege!! Its a choice.
