I only brush my hair once, and it never tangles.
I use The Body Shop's Olive glossing shampoo and conditioner, it leaves my hair really sleek and shiny.

Maybe its too dry? some oil on the hair helps.

unless you have very wirey hair, you are not conditioning it properly, i have mega thick long hair, and found once i changed conditioner and applied it properly i no longer had this problem
