Because he has a (Yahoo!) multiple personality disorder?

Drinking for five - no wonder he's ready for rehab.

Samantha - drinks Campari
Oprah - Draino
Gay Man - anything with an umbrella
Ashley - light beer
Gentleman - Sherry (am) or Gin and Tonic (pm)

He's going through some tough times and is upset. The fact is you care enough to help him stop. It will be rough for him at first and friendship will be tested, but hang in there

I think he prefers the bottle to you.

That situation gives new meaning to "down under" (the table).

Why would you befriend a man who would, by your own admission, hate you?

Talk to your therapist about building your sense of self-esteem.

You have an unnatural bond to this individual.

Let it go. Really.

Move on.

I'm sure your Aussie *friend* has.
