Turn back the clock to 1 year ago, Albert Pujols set a new record for homeruns in the opening month of the season when he launched 14 baseballs out of the playing field. A pace that would have seen him shatter the record of 73, BUT guarantees into the future are never made. In 2006, Pujols got hurt & missed 19 games & in 143 games hit 49HRs.
Arod is in one of the best stretches of his great career, The Yankees have 8 games remaining in April & as hot as he is, likely he wont break Pujols April mark. I'd say for April he'll hit 12 & i think for the year 45 if healthy is the minimum!, max 52

No way. A-Rod isnt on steroids, Barroid was.
As far as I'm concerned, the single season HR record is 61 by Roger Maris.

Being off the %. at each and each of the season intense HR record is a downside. it is a difficult entire to compare from in the back of besides he needs to rigidity extra about take carry of hitting to assist make up his communities deficit contained in the standings.

Let's do the math, shall we? A-Rod only hits his homeruns in innings 1-6, as late game pressure situations render him pretty much useless.
That means that for every 9 innings he plays, he's losing 3 per game. 162 x 9 innings = 1458 innings. 162 x 6 = 972 innings.
Playing in 972 innings equals out to only playing in 108 games, so A-Rod hitting 74 homers in 108 games is, for all intense and purposes, unrealistic.
Don't even get me started by taking out all games in September and October, as the numbers will only get worse.

For the first time in his Yankee career, Alex actually seems like he's relaxed and enjoying himself. I expect he'll finally have that monster season everyone's been predicting for him, which should see something like 50 homers and 140 RBIs. I also predict that he'll sign a contract extension to stay with the Yankees once the season's over.
Assuming, of course, that he stays healthy...

I'll say A-Rod hits 62 to become the player to legitimately pass over Maris's record - Sosa, McGwire, and Bonds are cheaters and nobody can pass the mark that Bonds set
