But when its good the bad gets tucked away and pushed down?

I think the transmission in my car went out the other day. Its up at the shop and they have had it for a few days now. THey still have not gotten it in. I FREAKED when the car went out of gear and then would not speed up only the RPMS woulld rev.

Since then I have been so depressed and all the bad things that has happened throough out my life. All the things that I don't think about when I am in a happy normal mood. I am afraid. I am mad. I am aggitated. Why??? Because I KNOW that its the transmission and will need a new car and no money to do that or fix it.

I know what the out come will be and just want to hope that something small is the prob but I feel it in my SOUL that its BAD.

How can I get rid of that feeling? And dont say calla the car comp. cuz i already did. Serious answers only

I think it is normal to think about the bad stuff that has happened in your life, especially when you are feeling sad or worried about things that are happening to you. Don't feel bad, it's just a part of life. We bought a 2004 used car last year. It was in great shape, drove nice, comfortable, the whole package. Well, 3 weeks after we brought it home (paid cash for it) the transmission went out on it and cost me $2000. That got me depressed, too. Just try to keep everything in perspective and don't let the things you can't change stress you out. Sometimes, we just have to go through things to be thankful for what we've got. Next time something bad happens, try to think about all the things you DO have and do have going for you instead of bringing up the bad things from the past.

We all have been through the same. I had $20 in my pocket after getting paid and I had to eat, pay rent, drive to work. We all go through it and we all get through it. Of course, it would make you sad, you wonder when will it get better. Before you spend $ on a new transmission ask for a rebuilt one. It's at least 1/2 the price. And if you can ask a co-worker to drive you for a week or 2 to help you get past this bump in the road.

brains work by association. Bad feelings are linked to bad events, and vice-versa...the same way that when you smell turkey, you think of pumpkin pie or cranberry sauce, or football.
