There are deaths like this all over the world why should so much be made of this, all because it's the damn united states! Same way the 9/11 incident was plastered all over the world press. The Tsunami was bigger news and that didnt get as much exposure as these events. America likes to blow things out of porportion as usual. I remember a similiar incident in Dumblane in the UK where young childeran were gunned down, it hardly got a slot on US news, so as far as I'm concerned this is nothing special.

32 people is not a lot. In Iraq there have been 140000 dying because his corporate bosses told Cheney to tell Bush to go to war for oil. If there is a bombing in Iraq that leaves 60 dead, it makes a headline on Yahoo that stays on for two hours and no one cares.
32 are just a drop in the bucket. If we would have to catch up we would have to have more than 11 years of daily shootings to amount 140000 dead. Remember... no holidays, weekends or vacations off. DAILY!

I'm assuming you're British. Do you realize that this was the biggest mass shooting in U.S. history? Do you realize that the majority of UK citizens care what goes on in our country, and you are an exception? If you don't know why the most powerful country in the world gets a lot of attention you are a fool.

You need to rage at your news agencies. Americans could care less if our news is reported in your sad little country. You'd probably feel better if you knocked that chip off your shoulder.

the US citizens are controled by the media and the media is polotics and polotics is government and the government dosn't want the people to know whats going in the rest of the world so they explode their own small issues and implode international big issues.

in the end the people in the US will not care whats going on outside their borders because their too overwhelmed with whats happening inside although its nothing compared to what happens outside.

because that's what we crazy americans do. want to hear something worse? on my top headlines the first one is "32 killed in vt shooting" and the next one (as if it's just as important) is "who will be voted off of american idol next?!"

please don't think all americans do this. we don't really control our media....and most of us don't even watch the news anymore. on behalf of america, i would like to apologize for any inconvenience we've caused the world, and i would like to remind people that over half of us did not vote for our president.
