Hi everyone, with the Virginia Tech shootings dominating the news spotlight, there is no better time to speak up about coping with the loss of a peer while you are still in the prime of your life. Is there a good way to deal with this?

Loss depends upon the closeness of Your relationship. The death of a person to Whom You occasionally nod Your head in passing is far less likely to have a profound effect upon You than would that of Your room mate. A lot of people "grieve" because everyone else is doing so. I see it everyday in Hospitals. As a result of the media's input 'Grief' has become a new 'Self Awareness" industry. Would You really cry over the death of a student You never spoke to, nor ever bothered to take the time to get to know? Be honest with Yourself.

Group Grieving, is the best way because each of you can re-call memories together.Perhaps you could make a Rememberance book of the students life ,ask the family and friends for help to achieve this.

i lost a close friend 2 years ago i found that you just have to let your self cry and let all the emotion out and also surround yourself with your friends if you do it alone you wont cope very well be with the people who know whatyou are going trough you need to support each other.
