Imagine that you have an empty glass, if u full it of milk, u have a glass of milk, if full it with water, u will have a glass of water. so this is ur life. if u beleive whatever happens , happens for good. so why not?

This is a matter of personal belief, of course. I don't believe in fate, and I don't believe in an all powerful God who causes or allows what appear to be horrible, evil things to happen for good reasons which are hidden from human beings. So I don't have a lot of answers for things like the holocaust or the massacre in Virginia. I think they were terribly evil events, and the world would be a much better place if they had never happened. People can try to make as much good as they can out of a bad thing, but I have trouble believing that much good could not have been brought about without so much bloodshed and suffering.
For some great reading on this idea, try Candide by Voltaire, The Plague by Camus, and Why Bad Things Happen to Good People by Rabbi Harold Kushner.

joyncare, I have heard it said that the definition of a sin is "anything said or done that is not for the ultimate good of all concerned is a sin". When you are aware that you are the life of the body and lived before you had this body and will live after it is gone, and have some understanding of Karma or cause and effect you realize that one can not do anything that is not for the ultimate good of all concerned. The key word is "ultimate". The only "Sin" is the concept that we exist separate and apart from God, all other sins arise from this one.AS the colors of the rainbow are contained within sunlight,so to are all "sins" contained within this false conception.

It doesn't really matter, it's just a good healthy way to look at situations that come our way. you can always look back and check it out, what is the point on dwelling over something that took place in the past?? :) think it's true, and get use to it, it's a great, FREE, stress reliever..

I believe that whatever happens, happens for a reason and not always for good. There's always room for change or improvement(s) whenever something happens.

in large scale yes. it couses the humankind growth! if there were no despotism then we would'nt reach the democracy for example. and if there were no democracy we would'nt reach a better system to administaring our community. if we do not take mistakes we cannot correct them. human growth is "trial and error" in large scale of course, when you see the people from ablove.

To every action there is a reaction, for every positive there is a negative, and for every good there is an evil.

If we cannot undo them, then in hindsight they were what was meant to be. No use denying what is...
I don't know if I can say good or bad, though.
