Was it irresponsible for VTech Authorities to suggest that there was a second shooter?

What's the point of that kind of spin?

Why would that be irresponsible? Witnesses at the first shooting said the suspect was not Asian. Just because the same weapon was used at both shootings does not mean there was only one shooter. Personally I think it was irresponsible of the media to assume that there was only one shooter without waiting for the facts.
