patrick wolf is incredible. the album is not available yet in the US but you can still download his songs. listen to 'magic position' and 'accident and emergency' for starters.
i believe 'the feeling' is from the UK. they're very good. listen to 'never be lonely' and 'sewn' for starters.
kaiser chiefs are from the UK. they're one of my favorite bands but their last album doesnt seem to be as good as their 2005 album employment. they are kinda punk rock.
bloc party is very cool... so is stereophonics.

i think of Pulp are the suitable Brit pop band. in straight forward terms for the organic certainty that they are somewhat distinctive, and Jarvis Cocker is a experienced guy. The Verve coming in an intensive sencond:) Hannah

I can suggest something better like forgotten groups: Johnny Hates Jazz, Curiosity Killed the cat, Swing out Sister, Wet wet wet, Mel & Kim... Boy Bands are all alike !

yeah, definitely check out kaiser chiefs (but not their latest, u want the previous release "employment)...i luv the energy of their music!!! stereophonics are cool, don`t know if they`re "britpop" or "poppy"-sounding enough for u...they`re a welsh band that`ve been around about 10 years now...the vocalist, kelly jones, has a great voice!!! what about some stuff a bit older??? like suede, blur, pulp...that`s the music i really consider "britpop"...well, anyways, enjoy discovering some new stuff!!!
