to someone you loved?
I don't mean goodbye for the day, really said goodbye knowing you would not see them again for a long time, or ever again.

Hmm...Now that you mention it, I've never really loved anyone enough to feel such remorse in parting with them.
The last time I said goodbye and felt it deep down within, was a "mommy, don't leave me..." sort of goodbye...when my parents dropped me off at my dormitory freshman year of college. That was a goodbye signaling that I had finally grown up and left the nest.

About a month ago my boyfriend was out getting high with his friends. He wasn't doing "simple" drugs and could overdose, get bad ones, or just die from using at any point. He told me he had almost killed himself by getting into a car accident and was picking up strangers and going into really bad areas. I saw him at one point and he told me that I had to let him go because he wasn't going to stop and would probably end up dead at one point. I had thought about calling the police but I knew that he would go to jail and just be resentful. Jail might have kept him safe for the time being, but might not allow him to hit his bottom. I had to put him in God's hands and say goodbye. Now he has decided to go to rehab but it was only after he was seriously contemplating suicide. I pray for him everynight to be safe and get the power to stop using every again.

7 years ago, I had to say good-bye to my Mother, It was the longest good-bye ever, and the most difficult thing I have had to do in my life this far. Its a gut wrenching experience, its almost like the umbilical cord is being cut all over again.

Easter..said good bye to my daughters grandfather..here for a visit..will probably be the last time I see him..lives far away and is getting on in age..a wonderful.. loving..caring..giving human being...irreplaceable..

3 months, 1 day, 7 hours, and 17 minutes ago...It was my husband. He got deployed. I won't see him again until the fall.

june two years ago i had to say good bye to my best friend knowing when i walked away from his bed side i would never hear his cool jokes or see him smile. r.i.p. jeff carl you may be gone but you will never be forgotten.
