Yes, I know my neighbours very well. Where I live, in a small rice growing village in Northeast Thailand, doors are not locked, in fact some houses don't have doors or glass in the windows. Even I, an Englishman, can wonder in and out of other neighbors houses without a problem. We have no crime here and if you have a problem the whole village will help you. Only yesterday the whole village turned out to clear weeds out of a large pond. Some of the village houses draw their water from the pond and the weeds where blocking the pump. The people here are relatively very poor but I find it a much better existence than England or any of the European countries I have been to.

That is so true. I kind of wish it were like it used to be but then again once you get to know your neighbors you kind of wish you left it alone. I worked w/ one guy and we weren't friends then so no we don't visit. My other neighbor is a jerk and think he owns the block so no to him too. The one guy down the street is quite nice and we talk when we're both outside. The other family isn't even friendly in the sense to wave when passing by.

Not at all. I do know that my duplex neighbor is named Aaron Michael Richards, and he is far from being a biblical person. He drinks in the bars almost every night and brings home whores a lot of the time. I would personally rate his IQ somewhere around 80.

I only know the friendly ones and not very well. The other day I accidentally dropped my garage remote into the dumpster and I asked one of my neighbors for help, he actually jumped into the trash and found it for me. So nice and I was grateful.

I know my neighbors, but we don't hang out at each other's homes, we just look out for each other and send each other info when something is going on.
we've all exchanged phone numbers and stand around talking. We have pretty conflicting schedules, but they're the best!!!

I know my immediate neighbors and enjoy visiting with them in the summer when we are out walking. Otherwise, our paths never cross.

I know my downstairs neighbor. She's nice. We go shopping every once and a while. The others aren't very friendly so I've given up.

The spanish lady on one side is very nice, she is also my 4 yr old son's "LEGAL" day care provider (licensed by NY state, and insured), the Italian guy on my other side rents out every room in his house illegally, does'nt work (a B.S. "I hurt my back excuse" to get out on disabilty, you know the drill), then I get nasty looks from him because, I have a dog, and when I get home from work she goes out to P.P. and sometimes barks, his back yard is a maze of illegal entrances so the whole world walks past my dog. He came over and complained to me once because, once a year for 10 minutes, I fog my boat motor and put it away for the winter. He came over and accused me of "Air Pollution", on his laundry hanging out on the the line, I calmly asked him if he wants a Beer (I don't drink), after he finished his speech, I told him "It does'nt work like that "NUT LOG", If I were you I'd shut my mouth forever, and do it now, before I start making phone calls to the Building dept. about all the Illegal rentals at your house, and for a guy out on a B.S. disability injury, who might get pictures taken of him working on his roof sent to the labor dept. who has NO INCOME, that would suck "BIG TIME" would'nt it ? GET THE HINT AS-WIPE ? NOW get out of my face you worthless, jobless puke" ! He has not spoken to me since, that was 5 years ago, F--- him !

Yeah. Of course I knew them very well, they are my neighbors. I see and talk to them everyday. We greet each other and we help one another. It's just like friendship, you got to get along with them to avoid misunderstanding.
