2 part question
Whats the true meaning of the Swastika? I was at the beach last week during Spring Break and I seen a Black guy with 2 of them Tattooed on his shoulder blades. They were not Tilted But one was facing clock-wise and the other was facing counter-clockwise.

I didn't have enough guts to ask him but now I wish I would have.
Im guessing he's either very Dumb Or very smart. He drove away in a Viper that had "FSU" all over it. maybe a fraternity of some kind.

2nd Do you gyus think there should be some type of ban on guns or I mean tougher laws as far as getting one now with this incident?

1. Traditionally, the swastika was a Hindi symbol for well being. In fact most cultures have a swastika type symbol. However, Hitler stole it, flipped it around (reversing its meaning so to speak) and used it as an emblem for his army.
So nowadays, when ppl see a swastika, they'll automatically think about nazism and other horrors.
Actually, swapping the sides doesn't change the meaning.
You can find reversed swastikas in buddhist temples...

2. I believe legislation's not going to have much effect on the amount of guns. If i really, really really want a gun i can properly find one. No amount of legislation can close the black market.

The swastika is an ancient symbol with many meanings. It's seen in the Navajo, Japanese, Hindu cultures. In Buddhism, a swastika represents resignation.

Swastika or not this behavior is always a possibility for any of us that live our lives according to our own design and get submerged into our own obsessions.

Our lives were meant to be meaningful beyond the pursuit of our own comfort and pleasures. We were supposed to be reconnecting back to our one source and Creator to be led into a life of purpose according to His already established design.

A life of looking out after one another; a life of caring about our home planet; a selfless life dedicated to the good of others and to the uplifting of humans like this student. As humans, we probably failed to be of benefit to him when we had a chance.

I’d like to see us allowing Christian fellowships on campus, and other groups like it, more freedom in expressing their ministry potential so that they perhaps could reach such troubled souls sooner with God’s love. This is not a call to pursuit religion but the one that was killed by it.

Lets not remain strangers.
