Yes, about 6 months ago. I have a fulfilling job, but I really needed to do something. I started thinking of places I could volunteer, and this was a great one. You could just volunteer to see what you like, whether it is disabled children, mentoring, reading programs, homeless shelters, suicide hotlines, the list is endless.
I have started volunteering at a local shelter for abused women, we help them to get back on their feet after leaving the abusive relationship. It feels so wonderful to help others. Giving feels wonderful.
