I have never really lived on a budget. I have always tried to spend less than I made. Most of the time this worked for my family. I always pay my bills before I enjoy dining out or any other form of entertainment. I also believe in saving first, just a portion then we spend what is left but I really try not to spend my entire paycheck before the next one arrives. So far, I am doing great at 53. A dollar amt, I bet we spend between $100 to $150 a month for two adults.

During summer months we go out 4 times a month since there's a festival downtown. One Mexican place we love our bill comes to about $25 with tip for the two of us. But our favorite casual Italian place runs around $55-$60 with tip. Sometimes we'll just get gyros and falafel from a tiny cafe which is about $17 for us. So it really all depends on what we can afford at what time and what restaurant.

But our average is somewhere around $35 I'd guess.

I like to treat myself out to a few meals at a sit down restaurant every month, I've cut back on dining at the fast food restaurants

I don't really understand your question. I mean, if you have $20.00 to spend on buying lunch for three people, then each person cannot order anything over $5.50 or $6.00, which will leave enough for at least a small tip. I can't remember ever really having a "budget" for dining out- sorry I'm not more help.

Anywhere up to about $90 for two people, for a basic sit-down restaurant, including a glass of wine each, depending on how formal. Up to $150 for sushi for two, with sake and beer. If the company is paying, the budget goes up, of course!
