I was thinking of not buying a snuggli or carrier this time.. just doing the sling only. But in a grocery or deparment store or the park.. is that stylish?

well considering most people gave you their opinions on what they thought of your question and not the answer you were looking for , I don't think your trying to use your baby as a fashion acessory you just want an opion, well I think they are becoming very stylish nowadays, I have visited several websites that sell them and show you how to make them, and that way you could pick fabrics and prints that you find suit your own style, not to mentin slings keep your baby close to you and are very comforting for the both of you, :)

Absolutely! If you have confidence a good sense of yourself and what looks good on you, you can pull it off. There are many slings available with funky patterns and materials that when paired with your hottest jeans/pants and favorite fitted t-shirt looks great. I hope you already have a carrier/snuggli to use as well though as I find the sling can be tough on the back when they get bigger.

aBsoLutely stylish! In the western part of the world, we think it is weird, but in Asia and Africa it is sooo 2nd nature. Go for it, girl! (I bought some graphic tees to match my sling, and I would NEVER drop my baby... someone mentioned it above...)

i used to think they was stylish then i started hearing of babies actually dying or getting injuries from falling out of the slings i personally would not risk it just to look stylish even if u think it is safe for the bby and also when i see people using them it really looks like they are way to lazy to carry them and i personally would never use one or look at someone using one in a good way...stylish or not

i don't know how "stylish" it is, but i saw this lady in the store with one on, and it took me a minute to realize that their was a kid in that thing, then i was shocked, and my mom too. Cuz all you could really see were some shoes, but it wasn't to the point where you would automatically notice, but then once you do notice the shoes (which we then discovered had feet in them), it took us a second to figure out how they were connected to the lady's outfit.

i used to use a sling almost evry day for comfort to my baby, and coonvenience to myself, nothing to do wit style. (That certainly shouldnt matter so long as ur baby is happy) he loved it and would instantly fall asleep, and i loved him being so close to me. Hs now 3months old and obviously heavier so i just use it on a friday wen i do my shopping and bits in the town. he still loves it and i dnt hear a peep out ov him he just sits looking around its great, one ov my best buys. go for it, u wont regret it and if its not for u thers always abay to sell it on.

good luck

some slings and carries are very cute expecally some of the mei tais... some are not (ie the wrap i use) but it really isn't about the way it looks it the function of it...if someones only reason for wearing their child is to look trendy well then their retarted

why would style matter? if your able to comfortably keep your baby close to you then why worry about what other people think? I just purchased my first sling and i cant wait until my son is born to use it!
