There's some sex in these, but the story lines are MAGNIFICANT!!!
Sin and sensibility - Suzanne Enoch
The Outlaw and the Lady - Lorraine Heath
Wild Bells to the Wild Sky - Laurie McBain
I've read many romance novels and so far these ones have been outstanding!!!

I've never read any Francine Rivers novels but here are some good authors/books in different genres that you might like (they have what you're looking for):
Paranormal - Sherrilyn Kenyon's Fantasy Lover and Night Pleasures
Historical - Lisa Kleypas' Wallflower books Secrets of a Summer Night, It Happened One Autumn, Devil in Winter and Scandal in Spring
Contemporary - Lori Foster has a number of contemporary series. The ones by her I've read and enjoyed are Too Much Temptation, Say No To Joe? and The Secret Life of Bryan.

The Time Traveler's Wife. Not so much a concentraction on sex, but there's some. That's not why I suggest this book though, it's just a great romance novel and very well written, also a very interesting concept. Check it out, you won't be sorry.

Believe it or not Judy Blume has some adult books out, i heard they were pretty racy!
Anne Rice has Exit to Eden (not like the movie at all), Belinda, and the trilogy of Sleeping Beauty (written as Anne Rampling) These all are very sexual and alot of bondage.

Well I used to think Mills and Boon were great novels. But then I left fairy land and realised they are a heap of sh*t.
