no, it's a sad event, but hasn't wandered into my subconscious.
I am an avid news watcher, but when these horrific things happen I make it a point to turn off the t.v. or watch something lighter.
I only allow myself about an hour of watching it. Usually any more than that is recycled news I've already heard, and that's when it starts to get to me in a bad way.

I think the bad deam really takes place in the interest of the media to jump on such a terrible occurrence. I feel that the media fuels the fire when it comes to tragedies such as these and it is a disgrace. The media makes heroes out of sick people by doing stories surrounding them. Why is it that I should even know that this person that killed all of these people at VA Tech existed? Most every person in the US knows all about this guy now and he has reached celebrity now. The best thing we could all do is not pay attention when these stories are reported. The media has one idea on its mind when it creates reports....ratings which in turn lead to more advertising dollars for the station. So they are exploiting a tragedy for money......PERIOD. How many of the people that lost their family members had to give permission for the names of their family members to be released? Are the families getting any compensation for the press coverage of their loved ones....if not, then why not? My father was killed (shot) when I was 10 years old. I know what its like to lose someone that I love violence. I am lucky that my father was no one special or part of a mass killing so I did not have to see his face and his story on the news every 10 minutes. I feel terrible for the families that have to go through this, even more because they can not escape the reality for even a short time because of the media. 9-11 would never have happened if it were not a 100% chance that the media would be all over it. Osama Bin Laden did not want to kill people just so they would die, he wanted to make a statement that the media would be all over so that America would go into a frenzy....and he succeeded. Even I look at people from other parts of the world strange now because of September 11th, but I would not even know about what happened that day if it were not for the media. The odds of me (one person) having an interaction with a terrorist or a mass murderer at a school are really remote. But these things are on my mind because of the media.....thanks a lot! I have a much higher probability of dying of prostate cancer and I do not even think about that at all. I am too concerned about people from the Middle East and Asians coming to get me. The media should realize that a lot of the motivation for these crimes come from the fact that they know the media will extensively cover their story and the will go down in history. At sporting events such as NFL football games a streaker would often get caught on camera running across the field naked. The media decided that they would cut away to the announcers during these streakings so that future streakers would not be as motivated to get attention. I find it interesting that they thought streakers were becoming too much of a problem and refused to air it, but mass murders are not too much of a problem.....? Many of these people are anti-social and crying for help and attention. When they do not get it by normal means there is one sure way to get it....do something outrageous and violent. I think the most important thing that can come from stories like this is to change the channel and not allow the media to make the kind of money they do off of these kinds of stories from advertisers. I am sorry about venting, but I felt that I have a valid point.

I quit watching the news after multiple family deaths, 9/11, my son being sent to Iraq, & my daughter scheduled to follow all happening around the same time. I couldn't imagine losing the two most precious, beautiful things in my life, so I just ended my association with cable and Newspaper. I spent my time instead praying for them and seeing them as healthy and protected.
It's all sensationalist crap anyway! And you know what? Less depression! Happier! Less nightmares! I don't miss it at all. I pray for all the souls that suffer and send them love and light. But I am not helping anyone by contributing to a medium that admits they would rather cover a shooting than a missing child! We could help recover a child, but what help are we to shootings? And how often do you hear of Copy Cats? If they didn't know or hear of the occurrence, how could they emulate an ugly, brutal event?

Not me... but I keep thinking about this one poor guy I saw on the TV. Katie Couric was interviewing him, and it had only been 15 hours since the tragedy took place. He had been shot in the arm, and had a sling on it. He said he was seated in class, when the Asian man busted in and started shooting everyone around him. He said he saw the person next to him get shot and fall on the ground. He said the guy shot everyone- shot his teacher in the head, then left out the door. Him and two other survivors got up and went towards the door, when the guy came back and tried to get into the room to finish them off. He said he stuck his foot in front of the door and him and the other two people tried desperately to keep him out. The killer left.
I don't know how that poor guy was sitting there, giving this interview. They would have had to sedate me. I imagine he will go over that scene in his mind for the rest of his life ... never mind his dreams.

The very the very first thing I could do is stroll into Chancellor Steger's workplace and hit him correct among the eyes with a 2x4 after which give an explanation for to that moron how he's approximately to be culpable within the killing of 33 of his scholars by means of his failure NOT to name within the STATE POLICE after the primary shot was once heard. And please, everybody, please give up calling this a tragedy. A tragedy is a makebelieve efficiency that you'll stroll clear of, unblemished and unconcerned. The phrase Tragedy is what CNN needs you to make use of in view that it is so benign. The phrase Tragedy that CNN (as good as different politically proper buzzwords, assured to difference you into fitting an historic feeble submissive bendover) quite implies that there are a one thousand extra Tragedies to comply with, for that reason finishing the reign of Western Culture that is the OBJECTIVE of any Leftist News Organization. To outline this awful occasion safely could be to explain it as a malicious, good-calculated, crook act. In-different-phrases:COLD BLOODED MURDER COMMITTED BY A MANIAC. Oh Oh Oh however that could offend the individuals who could wish him to search cure if he survived.

No bad dreams, But I am shure he will have to face the students he killed during judgement. His body doesn't deserve a decent burial either.
