It is widely believed that countries or communities who have a lot of fish in their diet are more intelligent than the others. This may well be true.

The brain has large amounts of a fatty acid known as decosahexaenoic acid (DHA), but unfortunately the human body is incapable of producing this fatty acid to the quantity that the brain requires. This is usually supplemented by including meat, eggs and fish, particularly the oily ones, which are very high in DHA.

Fish are rich in eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and it is these polyunsaturated fatty acids, which provide the key. It is suggested that the minimal dietary requirement for EPA and DHA should be about 200 mg/day and this amount can easily be obtained from eating fish just once a week

There are many benefits of eating fish. Fish is very nutritious, it is a good source of protein, fish contains iodine and it is a recommended food for persons on a restricted diet. Might indeed strengthen the brain.

Go eat some more. Maybe if you eat fish brains? Only thinking and learning and studying will make some one smart. If your brain is weak,do something challenging.
Anyway,I would not eat my pet fish.

What I had in a class a few years ago said that the Omega acids kept your arteries from getting clogged. Maybe it only makes the blood flow to your brain better. Or the cells in your brain could die.
