yes, to cereal ( also known as pablum). I asked my doc about this and here is what he said ( I had concerns about this too) "If your walking down the street and you pass someone, Can you TELL if they were fed pablum(cereal) before a certain age? NO" Apparently there those that feed their babies mangos the next week after they are born. Most of the stuff I have heard from nurses changes every couple of years to ten years and sometimes they just dont seem to give a crap about scaring the living daylights out of a first time mom. SOrry to nurses, but its true. My doc said that I could start adding cereal to her milk before she went to bed so that I could get a little more sleep. Just dont feed meats until after 8 months.

I'm no pediatrician or anything like that but I do have two children who are 13 and 9. I remember when they were babies they would wake up in the middle of the night crying cuz they were still hungry. Formula/breast milk wasn't enough, so I started added a little bit of rice cereal to their bottles at night and sometimes even a little bit of the stage 1 jars. They seemed to sleep better and longer and get fuller. They weren't quite 3 months yet but pretty close.

I would wait until your baby is a little older. Their small stomachs cannot digest many things at that age. However, if you insist on feeding your 3 month old something... I'd start with the cereal.

if the formula isnt satisfying enough for ur baby then try to give the baby some in a bottle mixed with formula.. there isnt ne problem giving the baby stage 1 cereal at all the doctor will tell u to try not to but from personal experience when a baby isnt satisfied with just formula the lil bit of cereal in the formula wont hurt ne

I think you should probably wait a month or two before feeding your little one cereal. Do you believe that the formula isn't satisfying enough. When you do start to feed cereal/farex, just start off slowly...a mouthful one day and gradually increase. See how your little one reacts first.

Doctors usually say to wait until the child is 5 or 6 months, but if your 3 month old seems to be hungry more and more often then it depends. If he can hold his head up well or maybe can hold his body up with little support then it should be ok. I personally didn't start that until 5 months with my son and 7 months with my daughter. My son just needed more to keep him satisfied more than 1 hour and my daughter was so tiny and sleeping through the night she was fine with just bottles.

Me pediatrician told me cereal and diluted juices at 3 months. I'm not sure about stage 1 food, but it seems too early!

Try it once, if baby will eat it and doesn't get fussy after wards then it should be fine. We gave our little girl carrot and bean baby foods at around that age and she loved them even though she tended to try to ingest the spoon with it, she would lunge at the spoon with every single bite. Just make sure to wait a few days after introducing new foods before introducing a different new food to see if there is an allergic reaction.

For the first 4 months of your baby, breast feeding is a complete food by itself and the best ever for your precious darling. then slowly u can introduce her to cereals or other solids.

when my brother was a baby, I believe right at 3 months, my mom started feeding him cereal because the formula just wasn't enough for him.
