I was wondering about the application proccess.Do you first apply, then once accpeted send in portfolio and transcripts or do you send portfolios to every university you're applying for?

No, you send in your complete application together with the cover letter, application form(s), essay and any attached documentation all at once. These are normally sent to the university's admissions office.

One piece of advice: I don't mean to brag, but, after first only getting 960 and then only 980 on my SAT's, I still was accepted into Cornell. Why? Because I put effort and creativity into my essay. Hence, write a good essay and, with a bit luck, you may get into your dream university. Good luck!

One good book is "Colleges that Change Lives" - the librarian will be able to help you find what you need.
