I would suggest no use continuing such a marriage were he has already remarried & the divorce matter is still pending in court. As far the dowry amount is concerned its your stridhan which you can claim back & you must have moved an application to this effect in the divorce proceedings along with this you must have moved an application for maintenance pendetellite. If you want to settle this issue amicably through divorce by mutual consent you can do so even now & claim a good amount of alimony for settlement of this issue, this will be apart from what all dowry amount you must be claiming back. As far the remarriage of this guy is concerned, you can go in for criminal complaint against him for bigamy under section 494 of the Indian Penal Code, but for that you have to prove both his marriages in the court, i.e. your marriage which you will be able to do so as he must have admitted this in his divorce petition also, & otherwise too as you must be having sufficient proof for it with you, you must prove his second marriage with this lady also, you should have sufficient evidence to prove his actual marriage ceremonies with this lady. The proof of second marriage usually is a difficult task & without the sufficient evidence you won’t be able to get him convicted under section 494 IPC for bigamy. Hope this will be sufficient legal help for you, in case of more legal guidance contact me directly vijay_mahajan5758@yahoo.co.in.

If he truly married another without a legal divorce I suggest you notify your attorney or the court. I don't know anything about a dowry - I would guess there is no legality with it. Is this a culture specific thing/act? If so, go to your local religious advisor or parents and talk with them. Someone in your circle would surely know the answer you seek. If divorce is enivitable, then let go. Don't be with someone that doesn't love you equally. Good luck!

How is he forcing you to give him a divorce? Remind him that he is a bigamist, therefore breaking the law. Tell him to return your dowry or you will tell the court.

Dowry? This is the 21st century we don't do that now.
Sue him and have him arrested for bigamy
