A complete waste of time. Like we don't have enough stupidity to deal with on a daily basis....co-workers, bad drivers, telemarketers, etc.

To start with I have to debate the reality of reality TV, it's a sham! Secondly, when they first began to be aired they were novel and some even interesting such as the first series of Brit Big Brother which began as a sociological experiment. Now they are played out, i don't care what a Z list celeb eats for breakfast, I don't even care what an A list ones does. They are a pretty strong factor in the argument that TV has been dumbed down.

I think that all "reality shows" should be moved out of primetime and into daytime television. If it is being shown during the primetime hours then it should be something that the networks are proud of and that has a story to tell. This time is Primetime. Networks should put their best on and should take pride in them. Not game shows and reality shows over and over as a cost reducer (NBC I'm looking in your direction). Pick a schedule, find good scripts and premises, take chances, just tell stories. Don't show me an accountant eating a rat for money. If that is the best you have to offer then fire your TV people because they are no good.

They're not so "real" anymore. More show than reality. Producers have a huge hand in the directiong they go, who makes it, who doesn't.
And producers think they can turn absolutely anything into a reality show these days. They've totally killed the concept.

I have no life so I must watch someone else's exciting life on TV. That's what I think about reality shows.

Some are okay but there is WAY too many of them! Enough already. It's like an epidemic! But whatever. They are clearly still popular! As long as they don't bump the other regular shows off I don't care.

I can't think of anything more mind-numbingly boring than watching a motley collection of moronic non-entities mooching round some sh*thole of a house doing and saying absolute cr*p.
