I've had someone come to my home to show me a sample of this thing and it's one of those things you "just can't live without" but its sooooooo expensive, what do you think?

I had a Kirby once. They are powerful and do all of the cool things the sales guy says, not well but they do them. The are also the heaviest thing I have ever tried to vaccum with. You shouldnt have to throw out your back or make a mini car paymet to clean the carpet.

They are an exceptional vacuum. However find a dealer that rebuilds and resells them.
We just bought one that is a 2001 model. For $599.00. This machine has been completely rebuilt and looks brand new.
The difference between the new model and the 2001 is that the styling has been changed. Otherwise they are identical. Same motor. Same parts.

we own motels and got convinced to buy one as it would make the carpets last so much longer - we never use it. We got all the extras for shampooing etc and it doens't even do a good job. Hiring a steam cleaner ist way ceaper and works way better. Its really not worth the money. Don't buy one, its just gimmick.

I clean for a living for many, many years. The best vacuum cleaner is the one you use frequently. Kirby, ah, save your money.

Had a salesman show up to demo one. He poured salt on my carpet and then claimed that he could pick it up with the Kirby. I showed him the door and then used the shop vac to clean the salt up. Would not buy. I like my Dirt Devel better.

I know someone who sold them once,$1,200 or whatever they go for these days is alot for any vacuum,,I know it does all these things,but damn,If you have that cash to shell out then you make the call. I could think of alot of things to spend that money on besides that.

My brother and my mom both got one. They said it's crazy powerful. It'll suck the dirt out of your carpet, and the carpet on the floor below too!
Dunno if its the same model you were offered.
They've been around for a long long time, there's gotta be a reason.

huge rip off, i used to sell them, they ARE NOT WORTH IT, if you really want a quality vacuum get a dyson, they're about 400 bucks and work just as good or better, no matter what the sales person sais

I got "hired" to sell them once..they do a great job..you can even paint with them..(if you buy the attachment that is very expensive) I think they are worth it, if you have the cash.

Yes it is a good one, but verry expensive - I think it is overpriced , 50% should do !!!
