I have 2 kids and after the first my body snapped back into better shape than it was to begin with. It's not looking like that is going to happen this time! I am really not into plastic surgery but always said if my breasts were very saggy I would consider a breast lift. How is the recovery for these procedures? Do they ever go wrong?

I had one when I was 17. The first two days were really painful, the first week and a half or so I wasn't good for anything other than sitting on my butt, because walking around is uncomfortable. The medicine to stave off infection gives you the runs, and the first 3 weeks (I think) you have a bulb-shaped drain hanging out of the incision that needs to be emptied alot.

Things move; I peed on the floor the first time I went to the bathroom because "she" was suddenly higher up on the front of my body, rather than below my tummy. There were some stretchmarks from skin moving (gone now, I'm 22) and there's still a scar, from hip to hip. That's for a small one; I could've gotten the full tuck which would've meant another one down the front of my tummy. I hate the scar, because it's white and numb and feels like there's nothing under it but raw bone, which makes laying the wrong way feel gross.

I'm not painting this in a good light for you, I'm sorry. Did I get the results I want? Clothed, I would say yes. Unclothed, I'm not so sure. It's not terrible, but I sometimes wish I had just learned to love what I had when I had it.

My advice would be to be proud of your looks. Your body produced two entire people; there's a natural change that comes with that, and that change is beautiful. Rock it, cause it's what nature gave you. But that's just me. If you want more info about the nitty-gritty of the surgery and recovery, let me know, I remember it pretty clearly.

I had a reduction with a breast lift back in Feb 2006. I was out and about in less than a week but was on light duty for two weeks to a month.

For a tummy tuck it'll be a lot longer. I've never had one BUT there is a board that you can ask people who have had them:

Some people say the scars are horrid after a breast lift but it is all in how good your doctor is and how good you handle the after care of it. Mine are 95% gone you can barely see them. I used Mederma and ScarGuard to lighten my scars and I massaged them after the incisions enclosed.

Tummy tuck and breast lift surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
