A friend of mine like to be a technician in hospital, such as MRI technician, x-ray technician, etc. However, we cannot find the name of it or university that teaches those classes.
Does anybody can help with some info and how much is the starting salary for that kind of job? Thank you in advance.

All the answers to your questions will vary greatly, depending on what state you live in.

To find a school do a google search with your state name and radiologic technology college. Most states require you to go to an accredited program, but there are still a few that allow you to get on the job training and do self studying in order to pass a licensing examination.

There are few MRI programs, as most of the time a radiologic tech is cross trained into MRI. MRI does not involve radiation, so licensing is not required.

I live in California. At the state website for Department of Health - Radiologic Health Branch, there is a list of all of the state's accredited programs.

For the salary, I would also google your area and radiologic technologist or MRI technologist. California or New York is going to pay more than smaller, more rural areas.

"The median expected salary for a typical Radiologic Technologist in the United States is $46,408."
