And then expect them to pump out babies for them?

I think men and women are a lot more disrespectful and hateful towards each other. We have no respect or compassion for people in general anymore. Everyone is out for themselves and not caring about others. We all have to answer in the end for our actions.

Just as someone above said, the disrespect comes from both sides. I really think that a lot of it has to do with people self respect. So many of us let others determine our worth for us that we don't know how or when to say enough is enough. This abusive behavior is just like any other behavior. If continues long enough it becomes a habit and when a habit hits main stream it becomes a trend and a unhealthy, unchecked trend becomes a epidemic, which is exactly what we now have on our hands. And to futher anwser you question, it (abusive behavior) ia seen more in men the women because men are naturaly more aggresive and distant in sensitivity. I am not at all saying that all men are distant, insensitive and aggresive but those three traits are more likely to be found in male than females. This epidemic is world wide and not just in America. (D.G.)

Some men are hateful, disrespectful, and abusive towards women, and some aren't. Some women aren't that great to men either. When I was young, I was with someone who started out loving and kind, just like I did, but we weren't very mature and did everything wrong till there was nothing left to work with.

It takes hard work to stay calm, reasonable, respectful, loving and kind day after day, with financial worries, family problems, illness, and disappointments. It's too easy to take your partner or friends for granted, and take your frustrations out on the people you're suppose to be the most loving to.

Some of the people have already mentioned how hard men work outside the home, and minimized the hard work women do in the home, raising children and taking care of a home. That's the kind of thinking that causes trouble in the home-when you're both tired and overwhelmed it's too easy to say "I work so hard, you never...you always...why don't you...you should..." instead of sharing how tired both of you are, and trying to come up with ways to be supportive of each other, it becomes a blamefest when really you're both overwhelmed.

Good luck!

Most men don't even want babies - they just the fun. The men pump and dump, and it is a real rarity for people to find a decent man (especially a decent straight man!) I'm a lesbian, so it doesn't affect me personally - but I sure hear all the straight women complain about the deadbeat dads, cheating and slapping. Few men are good - the rotten apples have spoiled the barrel.

I revised my answer.
I believe people have both negative & positive thought patterns.
Some people think negative once awhile & then return / bounce back to positive normal thought patterns.
I think everyone has their bad days.
However there are the other people.
People that are mean nasty & abusive. These unhappy people focus on negative thoughts most of the day if not all day long.
Some people remain bitter & negative their entire life.
We can try to have a positive influence on negative people & maybe guide them if their openminded & ready for help.
Some people tell others "You need to get some help."
Remember is a negative thinker is a negative thinker.
Most negative thinkers will view such a comment as an major insult. Making the negative thinker even angrier & bitter.
Just remember that the negative person has to change themselves when they are ready.
Some negative thinkers are never ready for a personality change.
From a womans perspective....I would not want want a mean nasty man influencing / teaching my children to me mean & nasty & bitter.

listen to yote. first i dont know ANY guys asking or expecting thier girlfriend or wife to start "pumping out babies". but ill tell you what i DO see.

in an odd coinsidence about 5 of my male and female friends had babies this year and i am shocked at some of the things that these stay-at-home young moms are expecting from the young working dads. i hear it all the time. these girls are complaining and arguing about the dumbest things. for example my friend josh works with me on roofs 80+hrs a week when he is at work he is asked to do a VERY difficult and dangerous job all day(usually sun up to sun down) this is a job where you need to be well rested and alert or you can seriously hurt yourself yet his wife is making him get up with the baby everytime he cries because she is too tired to wake up with him. she says that her job of watching the baby while in front of the t.v. all day is harder work so he should get up. this is rediculous. she doesnt work if she did then my opinions would change they should then share the responsibility of waking with the child. taking care of the baby in this situation should be her responsibility allowing her husband to bring home the bacon safely. does she not care? sometimes i think girls are starting to "pump out babies" just so they can use them as an excuse for being lazy!
this is only 1 example of many arguments that i see as being a no-brainer.

i see alot of girls getting married to working class men expecting to live in some princess story. you want a princess story??? marry a prince!

What do you mean these days? read a history book and note the patterns.
The world is overpopulated, women must be kind to men and show them pictures of sad and neglected babies in every nation. If that doesn't do it. try cooking heavy meals and wearing ugly dresses.
OK! people love each other softly, tenderly and don't forget to see a doctor about contraceptives if you want to have fewer children.

Probably because most women don't
carry themselves in a respectable fashion,
which put a lot of pressure on the few
respectable girls left. Most women idolize
themselves as Madonna, Britney Spears,
Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan , Pin up models
and the sort. Even though these girls are
idolized, they are not considered righteous
women. If you act like a ho , expect to be
treated like a ho.

These days? Hell, if you look at American history you'll see that they have always been. They have gotten a bit better by letting women vote, smoke in public, work, and other things.
Read history and you'll see.

I think many men are just getting tired of being the only minority where it is fine to be discriminated against, tired of being the butt of jokes, tired of being politically incorrect, and tired of attempts to make them more like women. After a while, it just gets old and the human reaction is bitterness.
