yes, the constitution does give us the right to bear arms, but arms wearnt semi automatic when that was written. you cant automaticly judge someones personality and say "oh, they are quiet and write violent things, they are gonna come shoot the place up", because while you are worrying about that kid, some kid who was active in school, popular, and all that may bust out a gun across the country and shoot people. dont pull the guns dont kill people, people kill people crap on me, guns do kill people. because i promise you if a kid was going around trying to choke people to death he wouldnt have gotten as far before someone stopped him. there are countries with strict gun control laws that have about one eight the shootings we do here, if that many. it just doesnt make sense to me. i know a lot of you are going to call me liberal for saying gun control, but honestly, i dont care. think about it...if you saw someone strangleing someone, you could stop it. try stopping a semi auto

wow you guys missed the point entirely....i point out actuall FACTS and you get all high and mighty. ps, i dont have a dick, im a girl. besides that i was raised right. a criminal might be able to find a gun but if you get stricter on gun control laws it may deter a good portion of them. christ lord almighty did you people miss the point. take away this kids gun and give him a knife. do you really think he would have managed to kill 32 people before someone stopped him? also, he wasnt a criminal before that point in time, just some loner kid no one payed any real attention to.

i can tell already who of you actually botherd to read the entirety of my statements. yes, there always will be the rare folks who get away with it, because there are exceptions to every rule. but seriously freaking think about it. take away this kids gun, give him a knife, a rock, a pointy stick, a car. he isnt going to manage to kill nearly as many people before somebody stops him. guns do kill people. yes, this kid is to blame. but he wouldnt have gotten away with nearly as much as if he was trying to strangle his way across campus. i get it, YOU are the ones who dont get it. there are countries where people havent even seen guns unless they are being carried by police officers or in museums and they have crime rates that are so much lower than ours its not even funny.

ok, so lets give everybody on the campus a gun. what if in the process of trying to defend someone from the shooter, that person misses and hits some other random person? now you have 100s of people trying to hit the same person. not all those people are going to hit the mark, some are going to miss and hit someone not involved.

here interior the U. S. our appropriate to undergo palms is an component of our shape. we choose our weapons. i choose my weapons. One tragic element with regard to the shootings is that the persons in Virginia banned the campus police from wearing weapons. in addition they outlawed weapons for faculty young ones. There are places here interior the States that enables hid carry of weapons. the persons would desire to bypass a history verify and preparation. the place this is been used it has decrease crime. there is one county interior the south that demands each significant different and young ones to have a gun. Their crime cost dropped dramatically. there will be a super style of people pushing for a gun ban. they'll make a row and as plenty information as attainable. the subsequent President would be a Democrat and that they choose to prohibit weapons. there are certainly one of those super style of weapons around and it is so entrenched that i do no longer understand how they'd ban them. the professional Gun stream is so reliable i do no longer understand how the rustic might shelter it. i think of that they'd desire to enforce each and all of the gun rules completely and have the strictest of attainable outcomes that are actual utilized. I hate to work out issues like this take place. i do no longer see banning weapons correcting this. He substitute right into a foul guy or woman.

If you don't want people to use the "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" response, then don't use the "The Constitution was about muskets, not semi-automatic firearms" response.

The Constitution protects freedom of speech, but couldn't foresee the Internet and the instant, widespread communication it could bring.

People aren't necessarily against gun control, but I have yet to hear a reasonable approach to it. The only, I mean only, thing anyone has brought forth is regulations on the law abiding citizens, not the bad guys who are actually causing the problems. I firmly believe that reduction in violent crimes, including firearm related crimes, has very little if anything to do with firearms. You want to reduce firearm violence. I want to reduce all violence. Why just attack one type? You say countries with strict firearm laws has a reduced firearm violence rate. I would agree with that. Places that don't have cars also have a reduced auto accident death rate. Why don't you take a look at the violent crime rate vs violent crime rate, not just one statistic geared towards misleading those who don't research for themselves.

The real issues is general violence and the extreme lack of respect for human life and self centered attitude. People's "street cred" of how others perceive them is often higher than the value of another humans life for many people. This mentality, along with mental health issues, are huge contributors to the problem we have with violence, worldwide.

Since you have many updates and no responses, I don't expect this one to last either.
