Yea go 2 many absences means you fail. If school was up to me you could miss as many days as needed as long as you do the work required and understand it. Days dont really matter 2 me. I mean as long as you make the grade and pass. Why count absences?

Well, speaking from experience: I am a teacher and lots of absences will count against you when determining passing grades. Teachers the following year will look at your attendance record and try to make connections to your academics and poor attendance. Teachers will also frown on your parents' judgement in raising you with the impression that education isn't very important to your family. How long are the teachers striking? Honestly, it's not that the substitutes suck, they are trying to follow what materials your teachers leave for them to use in cases of teacher absences, and not to mention they are merely doing the best they can under the circumstances that your classmates are not treating them with respect. Is there a possibility where your sub would allow you to go to the library to study and get some extra credit or work done? Could you go to the principal and let him or her know how your class is and how it is impeding your learning environment? Have your parents come in and tell the principal that--principals tend to react more when parents demand better educational standards in a classroom. Good luck! And, YES, go to school!!!

Yes you should go to school and you should be in bed already anyway. You'll never feel like getting up and going to school. Besides, you might miss something exciting but hopefully not anything like Virginia Tech did! What a sad, sad story. I understand how you feel about the noise level but just do your best and keep telling yourself school will be out for the summer real soon.

Subs do tend to do a poor job teaching but I don't think you should miss an opportunity to learn.
