follow through on every shot, bend your knees get a good lift off when u shoot the ball, getting good arch on the ball will help you make more baskets than shooting it flat and always shoot the exact same way everytime. And never watch the ball keep your eyes on the target you are shooting at.

Keep practicin' son. Maybe you should get your own shooting style if the basic way don't work for you. Take my boy Kevin Martin for example. He has the weirdest lookin' shot in the NBA but here he is about to win most improved. But remember the fundamentals first before you go unorthodox. Elbow in, flick the wrist, and follow through.

Definitely practice. Alter the way you throw the basketball each time, and eventually you will come up with the right arch vs. force you need to make it. Everytime you miss, think about what you could have done to make it better (ex: more to the left, more arch, throw a little harder). Just be patient and have fun with it.

Shoot shoot shoot.
You need to shoot at least 50 times a day. Focusing on your form; elbow in, fingers spread and holding the ball with your finger tips.
Shoot with just one slowly moving in position snaping the your wrist following all the way through. start of slow and gradually get faster and improving your distance.

Take the same shot. Don't go around like you're playing a scrimmage or something. Stay in one position.
