Ok, I hate itwhen people ask questions just because they need an answer for homework, and hope to get it here without even trying. I am all for people trying to get different opinions on historical issues. But when i see someones questions and its like "PLEASE HELP ME BLAH B LAH BLAH"....its so annoying. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF F******* WIKIPEDIA!!!!!!!!!! type in your topic, YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~jewle, you wouldn't. You must spend hours cutting and pasting. Think of all the good you are doing for those poor little kiddies who are too lazy or too dumb to do their own work. Whatever happened to pride and self-respect and the satisfaction derived from a job completed? Enablers like you simply exacerbate the problem.

nicki, I couldn't agree more, but I do hope some of those fools accept my bogus answers and turn them in. Maybe with enough F's, some people will get the idea that they should at least pretend to put out a little effort. I doubt it. But, from a society that elects Georgie the Younger and his neocon cronies, what can one expect?

I noticed that, rather than the Polls & Surveys category, you came to the History category to ask this question. Yes, I have noticed the dozens and dozens of questions you refer to, and they are largely questions about History. Yes, those questions should be asked under the Homework Help category, and the person should ask politely, and choose the Best Answer too - many times they do neither. All in all, this is a good reflection of the people who ask these questions - they want instant gratification and they want it now and for free!! They have to be reminded of what good manners are. Remember, sometimes there are better sources of information other than Wikipedia - be they other websites or some person's personal knowledge. You have made a good point!

To be fair, it is hard to fault a teenager in search of an answer for looking to, well, "Answers". A large number of answers to questions can be found on Wiki, but what's the fun of that?

That said, I don't like being manipulated into providing an answer for some kid's take home exam. That does take the fun out of it.

Yes, it annoys the heck out of me when kids just list questions and expect others to provide the answers. It's one thing if you need help analyzing a play or poem, or are struggling to understand a historical event, but some are just lists of questions that kids are too lazy to figure out themselves -- and some are disturbingly simple.

I had homework when I was in school and I did it myself. I asked for help when I needed it, but I did not expect others to write my essays, do my take-home tests or answer all the multiple-choice questions on my homework. Homework is supposed to teach students good work habits, work ethic and responsibility. Kids who post their homework on here and expect others to do it for them are lazy and stupid. Smart people delight in using their brains and questing for knowledge. Some of these kids clearly are not smart.

Hey, at least they're asking questions and looking for answers, not loafing around, abusing substances or getting into trouble. (Suddenly I'm nostalgic for my own school days)

So I assume that you won't write my 8-page report on Stanley Plumly's legacy by tomorrow morning?

No, I don´t. Cause it´s fun to search and learn again! Why get annoyed?...why let the fun of it behind?...that would be annoying for me!
