I like Rap too but I prefer head banging to something heavy. but I agreed the Rock music nowadays are not as good as classics.

I'll have to say rock, and I don't even like rock that much! I haven't heard a decent rock album in years; which is a LOT more than I can say about rap. It's CRAP now. I'm embarrassed to be a hip hop head. Nas is right; "hip hop is dead"....

I prefer rock to rap most definitely. However that's me, I say music is all a matter of what you prefer. Whatever is "good music" to you may totally go against the preferences of the person next to you.

Rock because there are real people playing instruments where rap is a lot of techno beats

Rock of course. Anyone can talk fast to music... its not that hard. Singing is harder as well as playing instruments.
I'm aware that some rappers do write their own lyrics and some of them are meaningful songs. However, most rock bands not only write all of their own lyrics, but they write their own music and play their own instruments. It takes much more talent to be a rock star, and there are so many varieties of rock to choose from, whereas most of rap has something to do with one or more of the following: sex, drugs, violence.
