ONLY emos friendly people: emo handy guide?

tips and guide to be emo. i already have the moral part all by myself from first then i heard about emos and loved the way it looks it would be perfect so that i can conceal myself. ok how do i do my hair and clothes that way? any other tips?

ok, 1st off i get called emo a lot. being a poser is not something u wanna be. emo people are emotional because they face problems. nd not all emo ppl cut themselves, i dont. i suggest u be what u r, dont try 2 fit in, or be a poser. its not worth it. and ther r no specific standards 2 being emo. all i can do is give u some tips. wear eyeliner really heavily, get a lip ring or a snakebite(2 lip rings on the lips)grow out ur bangs nd cover one eye. wear tight pants, black pants converses dc or element shoes, a lot of skulls, black nail polish, chains, hello kitty shirts or band t's or tshirts that r tight. metal belts a lot of braclets nd spike the back of ur hair up or get highlights. if u live in ny, go 2 the village 2 get an idea. w/e u live, ther must be a place where punks/emo kids hang out, go check the look

i luv emo people! im more of a new age glammed up emo (i.e. i wear the black, black nail polish, but i have mod influences, i like to dress it up like a bright collared coral shirt w/ black cargos w/ detailing and black nails, and i wear baby pinks and blacks w/ lots of eyeliner, do u get my drift?) but i'll see what i can do to help.

you don't necessarily need to have black hair to be emo, it would make it more obvious, but it's not necessary, you could just have an emo haircut which is piecy, often w/ bangs over one eye, but mostly it's a haircut that just makes people do a doubletake, which is partly being scene.

eyeliner is a big thing w/ emo. im really into eyeliner but i like to change the way i wear it. sometimes i'll line both the top and bottom, the next day'd be only bottom and the next would be top w/ liquid eyeliner (it tends to stay longer and has a more dramatic effect). experimenting w/ other colors besides black also helps create variety. you can still be emo and not use black..for instance, im indian w/ brown eyes and brown skin so i use purple a lot, a dark purple that from far away looks like black but close up makes my eyes pop...so experiment w/ navy blue, forest green, other dark colors, pastels are typically not emoish

piercings are also emoish but unless you really want to commit, i wouldn't recoment anything other thans ears, altho on the right person a nose ring or lip ring actually looks nice! you can be emo w/o piercings as well.

clothing wise im not entirely sure...i think that u can be emo anyway you want to. if you're a guy you should stick w/ clothes that look like they're too small for you (i.e. tight t-shirts, those hot little hoddies that cling to your body), and most emos wear converse (i.e. lowtop chucks, im not actually entirely sure what they're called). personally, i rock the vans. if you're a girl, like i said, you could really do whatever, as long as you have the darker colors as your basics, having gothic looking pants works too...mostly anything that's at hottopic could be worked into an emo look...i'm not sure aobut this, but there are some clothes at h&m that would work towards the emo look too, or maybe that's my distinct brand of emo

regardless, you should make emo yours...part of being emo is expressing yourself so while you have the tell-tale signs of being emo, it doens't necessarily mean that you have to follow every single one.

and being emo isn't bad, as long as you don't resort to cutting: it's not good for you! i don't think that there's anything wrong w/ all the other aspects of emo. try convincing my parents of that!

First, get eyeliner and apply it everyday before going to school and if you REALLY want, add on heavy eyeshadow. For hair, try dying it dark color (for example, black and then on the end, you could get some hot pink on)! If you're a guy, cut your back short and leave your bangs very, very long (It could go down to your chin if you wanted). If you're a gal, cut your hair until it goes down to only your neck and then curl it out at the neck and kind of leave it scruffy looking. If you happen to wear glasses, make sure you get the thick-rimmed black glasses. If you can, get a piercing on your ear and try to get a stud, because hoops go more for the goth look. However, you can also go for a lip ring, which would be a hoop. Always wear a tight t-shirt (preferable black, but any color will do as long as it has the tight look, kind of like it's too small for you). Always wear tight black jeans and get a belt with pyramid studs or one with patterns on it like black and white checkerboard belts. If you're a guy you can afford to sag a lot and make sure your boxers are cool (hot pink boxers are hot) If you're a gal, don't do that. I would say that for gals, you can paint your nails black, but you can actually do that for guys, too. :) Finally, wear black shoes, and you will have a very sexy emo look.

dye your hair black, then pull your bangs over one eye, and straighten your hair. add deep burgandy subtle highlights, wear skinny jeans and hoodies, and maybe get a lip ring (real or fake). But emo's are really people who are emotionally disturbed, and cut themselves, and often die. I used to be that kind of emo and I'm looking into therapy and stuff. But, anyway, use dark blue eyeliner, on lower lash only cuz it looks better. And tips? Don't get into it at all! It sucks you in, and it is hard to get out! Preps are much happier people. Or... just be yourself. Jesus loves you. And He made you beautiful, so why would you want to hide his precious creation, and hurt the person he created?
