you cant be sure.

it's not a good idea to get serious about anyone who has just been divorced... they need at least a year to readjust to life and grieve (even if THEY left the marriage).

casual dating would be ok.

You can't know. The other person might not even know, too. If someone gets a divorce, it means it was a failed relationship that was to last forever. Doesn't matter who's fault it was, people don't get married just to get a divorce.

I'd say there is no problem to start dating after 6 months of being divorced, but longer if children are involved.

Who is the hunter.
Try just be friends first. Moving too quickly someone may get hurt.
Breaking up and divorced is like going through a death.
Time is need to heal open wounds so take it very slow.
With Time you will know what is going on.

You'll have to go with your own intuition. You can't know for sure. But if you're just @ the point of considering a relationship, maybe start out as being a friend. Then who know where it could go form there?
