I think that his parents have more to suffer with than the parents of the victims.
They lost their son and they way he died and what he did will haunt them for the rest of their lives. They will have to carry this enormous guilt, they had a son that was deeply troubled and somehow they missed it,So they must feel responsible in some way.He was grown and In collage they may not have seen him often enough to know something wasn't right.I cant imagine how it would feel to know that the child you carried for nine months, loved, nurtured and cared for for 23 years took the lives of so many innocent people. These two people are human and they hurt just like the rest of us and I am sure that none of us will ever know or understand the pain they are feeling. So yes I feel so so bad for them.No one deserves that, no one. My heart goes out to them and I hope that the family's of all the victims will offer them some kind of forgiveness, that is going to be the only thing that will help them heal and get past this.
**My thoughts and prayers go out to
everyone that has been affected by
this senseless act.May God be with
them.I pray that everyone who lost
their life find peace and serenity
for their souls.

First off , I can't beleive the people here telling you to rob your parents. That would be wrong and you would be doing the same thing to them that you are complaining that they did to you. Ok, maybe they had rough family times and had to use the money to live off for awhile. While this doesn't make it right to you and your sisters, sometimes this may happen in families that come up on hard times. you say that you know they took the money, so were they going through hard times? Why is it your dad's fault? I don't agree with parents taking kids money at all, it should be kept in the bank for them or let them spend it . i would feel really bad if I had done this to my kids... Good Luck

I feel bad for all of the parents and families including Cho's. I feel bad for the victim's families for the obvious reasons, but I'm kinda mixed on the "why" for Cho's parents. Were they trying to get help for him? Unless he was abused, they are probably wondering where they went wrong. What did they not see? If he was abused, then I feel sorry for them because they will never know happiness, and will have to live with the guilt (richly deserved) of indirectly causing this horrendous thing to happen.
If I had a kid that did something so heinous, I honestly don't know what I would do.

I don't think you're a hypocrite for your feelings, It is hard to forgive Cho for his Cowardly actions(to say the least) My Heart aches for ALL involved, I think as a parent that I would be paralyzed with grief and pain. These People Are DEVASTATED Life as they knew it is Gone, they will have to go through the rest of their lives with this Pain and Enormous Grief. My heart goes out for this Family.

I totally agree - they must be going through hell and I know that if it were my son that did such a horrible thing, I would carry the guilt of killing those 32 people and what it has done to their families as if I had done it, especially (and I don't mean to stereotype here) since in Asian culture, the son can be looked upon as having embarassed the parent.
very good question

I see what you are saying, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that they were COMPLETELY oblivious to their son's mental state.
I understand that they didn't live under the same roof, but according to news reports, he has been a loner (and a disturbed one at that) for quite some time. In other words, it wasn't like he woke up one day and decided to do this. If I were his parents, I would've encouraged - no, forced - him to seek professional help at that point. I'm not sure how much his parents could have helped afterwards, but I can't help but wonder if the outcome might have been different had he been medicated or received counseling...

I agree with you..Cho's parents must be devasted, they lost their son, their son did a terrible thing. Everytime their parents turn on TV, listen to the radio, go on the internet they will see their son's picture, hear their son's name.
I pray for them.

yes, as a parent it must be hard to have to deal with that. i guess the only way they can move on is to really dig into his past and maybe try to pinpoint where things started to change with him. if they can do that, then broadcast their findings as a way to help other parents see warning signs in their own children, some good may come out of the whole thing for the future.
if they are in total denial and think he was a saint and have nothing to contribute, then they all deserve to go to hell.

Those who curse hateful remarks are, sadly, and usually misinformed about the issue... sure, the son commited mass murder, but who knows if this news has been somehow "altered" or "modified" (or as I like to call it, "Enhanced") by the media, and / or other ignorant people...
But everyone is entitled to their own opinions (at least here in America they say...); Simultaneously, NOT all people are ignorant and evil... I praise people like those.

I feel sorry for ALL the parents...Cho's included...but I wish when someone wanted to kill themselves, to just do it and leave everyone else alone...making a name for yourself AFTER you're dead, defeats the purpose...
I also wish people had more imagination, instead of listening to others and emulating....just stop and have a thought...
(one school killing does NOT have to inspire others to do the same...)
