I think so, I come from a small town, and when I was in high school, (I just graduated in 2005), there was always a full time police officer there, and there still is. I think that by having law enforcement on the school grounds will help keep the place safe, I am also in favor of cameras in every classroom and hall ways. I also think that everyone entering the school should pass through a metal detector, regardless of who the person is and what time they arrive at school.

Security gaurds...yes, sure

Hell we had ARMED police officers and metal detectors at every entereance of my high school, big brother security cameras watching every move we made....and I graduated 6 years ago!

Schools *do* have security guards.

They also have about 20,000 people coming and going on a very large campus.
