I assume you mean Portland, OR. Portland is also the name of the largest city in Maine.

In 2006 the population was 562,690.
Area

As you can see the two cities are very close in area and population. Portland has a slight edge in area and Seattle has a slight edge in population.

i very much doubt that portland is larger than seattle. either by area or population. but if anything, it would be area, not population. i'm sure that information is online somewhere.
