Last week they attacked the First Amendment over Imus using his right to free speech. (which I do not agree with)

They are always attacking the First Amendment over religion but are to blind to realize they are doing it.

This week a tragedy happens (God Bless all the families and people harmed in this tragedy) and now are attacking the second amendment?

When will this stop? Is communism what they really want?

Don Imus was not protected by the Constitution or his right to free speech. The people of rutgers cost him his job of 30 years and means to earn a living because of name calling. Are you kidding me. There was nothing that protected Don Imus and what he said whether right or wrong shows the level of protection of the right. It come under fire when somebodies feelings are hurt and they thinkl that proper, societal accepted dialog was not used in their description of their basketball team. Who cares. I hope they feel better. What they did in no way worthy of respect. Through that entire incident I did not hear one person take Don Imus side and you know why. Politically, it was a hotcake and on the other side if the Rutgers women were bigger than the event they would have ignored the comment and exercised their freedom to turn their radio to the next of many stations, but no, they acted like children and ruined a man because of what , name calling. Makes me feel better now that I know that women are not putting up with anything childish and that they really are not bigger people as they claim to be. I was called names all my life and the only reason they did anything at all was because of his position. Purely and simply, for the benefit of the few. What a concept.

I think it is pretty funny. Soon as you say something like that, they start just calling you names to sidestep the question.... bigot! ignorant! racist! sexist! Look at the comments, it is pretty comical, how typical.

I think both conservatives and liberals attack the constitution when the prevailing wisdom does not support their beliefs. By definition of liberal, most views of liberals are not the prevailing beliefs and are inherently against the constitution. They only like to see the use of the constitution when it benefits them. Otherwise, they only see it as a barrier they need to overcome by using the joke of our judicial system.

Right to bear arms - apparently this doesn't guarantee the right to bear arms.

Right to free speech - this only protects language that is anti-American. racial jokes (about blacks) don't count under this, porn does, burning the flag does.

Right to practice religion - only if you are Muslim.

Right to peacefully assemble - only when you are protesting at a military funeral.

Yes, liberals. You attack America and you attack the Constitution. Accept it and be ashamed of it. What is up with liberals saying we revere GWB as some sort of god? There are plenty of conservative very mad at the president. Unfortunately, we respect our leaders because they are our leaders.

How dare someone refer to Thomas Jefferson as a modern day liberal? He was not liberal in his time, he was mainstream. Is it any wonder why it was a pain to ratify the constitution? He believed in small government of an agrarian nation. How can you possibly tell me that is what liberals want? Liberals want the government to do everything for everyone and take care of everything for everyone. They believe they know what is better for people, then the people themselves. They believe the rich should pay for the poor. Modern day, Jefferson would be more conservative then most conservatives.

First, don't make it out to be what it isn't. Only a small number of people started with the gun control thing. Yes, I agree the weak side won on Imus. Sticks and stones, you know. I don't think it is communism they want but some unattainable utopia. It's nice to dream, but there is a time to stay very awake.

Liberals, Democrats and most of the media don't understand the importance of the Constitution. Many of them simply don't understand it. Many of them hate the fact it exists and blocks many of their idiotic ideas from becoming law or policy. Others simply hate the Founding Fathers and the fact that these "old men" wrote the rules that they have to live by. The Founding Fathers were great men and very wise and for some they are unable and/or unwilling to accept it or the fact that they formed this great country. Many of the very people that enjoy the freedoms our Constitution grants are the ones trying to dismantle it. It makes no sense, much like their actions, policies and agendas.

first of all there are varying levels of liberal just as there are in conservative both sides try to modify the constitiution as they want it or as they want it to mean personally I think no man should need assault rifles but I see no reason for regular rifles as well as handguns why should someone have an uzi there is no real need for one

we have some good laws for guns at this time we just need to enforce them more or better I can defend my family just as fast with a 15 clip handgun as I can with an assault rifle but I also can defend them just as easily with a 6 shot revolver as well if you don't learn how to use a gun you don't know how to respect one and that causes accidents (accidental shooting of the dog a family member etc...) learn to use a gun then get one not the other way around also remember if we take all the guns away only the criminals will have guns but this is all a big debate and I have no way to debate well without an opinion opposite mine so will just say it is only a small percent on both sides that yell the loudest most are somewhere in the middle or a little more sane with their opinions from both sides.

How are they attacking the Constitution? The first amendment states that, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Seems that you are attacking the Constitution if you are saying you don't agree with it, they are only stating that Imus has the right to freedom of speech. The rest has been in the news so often I'm not going there. They are stating that each person has the right to believe in thier religion, but that Congress cannot make any special exceptions for any one religion, they are to respect all religions the same, so Liberals, are upset that people preaching to the Christians to vote for a certain party goes against the Constitution, when a political party is using religion to gain votes or favors are exchanged for votes. We are adhereing to the Constitution, and so called Conservatives are ignoring the Constitution for their own gain. Who's the Communist?
The 2nd amendment states, " A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.:" Well, when this amendment was written, I'm sure our forefathers didn't expect that children would be using firearms to kill other children. Common sense tells us that It was written with the intention of protecting your home, your family, and in self-defense, but only for protection. In light of what's happened and will continue to happen if not controlled by getting guns out of the hands of people who are not responsible, and use them to cause harm, yes, they are going to question the rights of people to bear arms. But, I don't expect you to understand something like common sense, everyone knows that people who call themselves Conservatives, don't know how to think for themselves. They only believe what their leader tells them to believe, no questions asked, and will fight tooth and nail, not to listen to any other possible answer. If your happy that way, you go on with your big bad self, "The World According to Whoever You Serve", is the motto you live by. But, don't start this Communist Crap, you guys just don't care how far you go to try to sway people to stop thinking, and become robots like you.

You are right on the point, and correct about everything. I could not add nothing else as you have said the truth. Just remember one thing, due to the fact that everything is a double standard with them, like do as I say, not as I do thing. I am sure they will write their own constitution, claiming they are the only ones with double standard rights.
