Me too. I am always afraid the elevator is going to break and once at a hospital I pressed the wrong button and the doors to the morgue opened and I saw a body covered with a sheet in the hall. Scared the **** out of me

I always take the stairs. They are usually quicker, and you get a little more exercise in your day. And like you said, I wouldn't want to get stuck in an elevator, it would freak me out.

The stairs, because I don't mind the exercise. But if I want to get somewhere fast and beat the wear and tear on my feet, then the elevator.

I have always been stairs. From about the age of 10 I have had recurrent falling elevator dreams. (Why couldn't I just fly like other people?)
When I went to work at the hospital as an RN I realized you couldn't transport patients in hospital beds on the stairs. So I had to just suck it up.

Like "Spooled" I need the extra exercise so I take the stairs when I am by myself. But if I have a stroller with me, or even my two year old without the stroller I always take the elevator.
