I'm half Filipino. Yeah, I sometimes feel like taking a swing at people that perpetuate certain stereotypes. I'd imagine most people have to deal with that sort of thing at some point in their lives too. I am sure that our culture had something to do with Cho's descent into complete madness. Maybe I am wrong and just biased toward that conclusion.

Emasculation of Asian men? Since when are all "emasculated" men ASIAN? And WTF does THAT have to do with what happened, particularly since no one knows why Cho did what he did???

Something tells me you are partly right. I'm sure this kid was really weird and people made fun of him. He didn't have social skills and I'm sure people laughed at him behind his back. I heard two of his roommates on TV yesterday and they had nothing good to say about him. I can imagine they teased him and called him hateful things. Just my 2 cents. But that is still no excuse to go on a killing spree.

I disagree...I believe Cho was just mad and emasculation of Asian man did not contribute to his mental sickness...Plenty of men get put down but you dont see them killing masses of innocent people they do not know...He was sick and always leaned towards violence and killing and he claimed it was because he dislikes the rich students at VT and they brought it on themselves...I think he was struggling with some othr feelings of inferiority because VT is a regular middle class university and he lived in some delusion world of where he felt not included

Well, from what I understand, he had not been in this country that long before doing what he did.. He was here on a student visa, and had only been here for a few months. So, whatever validity there may be to your theory of American culture, it doesn't seem to apply to this guy.

That's just plain nuts. That'd be like me going out and poisoning a municipal well because someone called me a Mick! Yeah, at one time the Irish were pretty shabbily treated in America and yeah, sometimes when I reflect on how that adversely affected my ancestors, I find it pretty disgusting. But stable people don't go out and friggin' waste a whole crowd because of the stupid attitudes of a few bigots!

Ok seriously, shut up. You can pretend to know what was going thru the kids mind, but you never will know for sure. So instead of playing amateur psychologist, why don't you focus on keeping yourself sane, so something like this doesn't happen again....with you.

No, white, black, hispanic, yellow, purple, red and blue men have all been emasculated too, you don't see them shooting up VT.

Why are you making excuses for this monster? It matters not what race he was, it was a HORRIBLE thing he did.
