just because you read a book on C++ doesnt mean you know C++. I suggest you really learn the language first, and the best way to do that is to start writing code. Then, after you are comfortable with it, try learning another language.

I suggest you first choose a language and try to get the logic and the important concepts, once you feel confident about it, you could think about learning more languages. C++ is one of the most powerful languages to me, I've been using it for over 5 years and still develop some projects in it. I started using C# not too long a go, and it took me literally minutes to write a program, i am still learning details, but once you have solid ground is a lot easier to learn any language
