Pass a law requiring proof of citizenship, sanity and no criminal record before an individual can buy a gun.

We have laws in place for what has already been suggested. The issue is people who help out those who are either sympathetic to a cause, or simply want to help out with a cause that they also believe in. People can, and do accept bribes for giving away military equipment that they have access to. This has happened before, and most likely will continue on.
People and their beliefs are the issues, not the weapons that they can obtain. Any one who wants to kill, for any cause do not need weapons to do so. They have a literal mountain of information, as well as their own thoughts and ideas as to how to make as much trouble as they can conceive. Control the values of people, and you control the violence.

If they come to usa by boat,, I think a good anchor tied to their neck, then trown overboard would help keep some of the weapons distributors from trading their bombs,, jump ship and through them overboard... no body, no evidence, no bombs. help feed the sharks !!!!
For those crossing the borders, a 10,000 volt fence should fry them , before they try to fry us !!
For those that like to tunnel ,,,some man eating dogs could help patrol the boarders,, would not cost much to maintain them,,,, and after a week or so of pacing they will be ready to eat any illeegal that may cross their path.

thw program isn't really 'free'. we all pay taxes and we all pay for it- its just cheaper and we don't have to worry about all the paper-work since most will have universal insurance (those who keep private insurance might not have any cut-downs on the amount of paper work they have to deal with) I think the foreigners whom are working, not getting arrested, and paying taxes should be give amnesty provided they speak decent english.

Good luck on that one! Legal or not if a person wants a gun they will get it alot easier than you think no matter what laws are in place!
