Virginia Tech to my knowledge is a "gun free zone". Meaning that no one is allowed to carry a consealed weapon. In some states, this kind of gun control policy would include police and security officers. The shooter in VT would have abosolutely no worries about anyone in the school shooting back.
In my state, I see signs in businesses entrance and schools that read "NOTICE--Possision of a concealed weapon is prohibited". Are these businesses inviting criminals to rob them and commit crimes? If society permits these practices of gun control, why not practice the same at home?
Just answer my original question. I was just trying to bring up the issue.

No. And you want to know something funny? In one of the most "Liberal" states, Vermont, a state with a very low overall crime rate and very, very low gun violence, anyone who can legally own a gun can carry a concealed gun WITHOUT A PERMIT!

I was under the impression that the "gun-free zone" law was a suggestion. I mean more like a social thing than actuall law or whatever.

NO. NEVER.
Right under that sign, how about putting another one: "Welcome all, take what you want, we can't defend ourselves. We will yell at you though and threaten to call the cops."
On the flip side, if you have a sign that says that everyone in the house is armed at all times, I'll bet your chances of getting robbed go down quite a bit.

Guns are one of the easiest things to steal and resell. People have to go to work. Criminals know this. Putting an "I have guns you can resell for thousands of dollars" probably encourages them more than it deters them.

Rather silly don't you think? I can see businesses doing this but homes? If someone is coming to your home with a gun a sign isn't going to stop them. What are you gonna do Kick them out?

any school is a gun free zone for obvious reasons. and yeah i would put that sign out if it meant they didnt have to come a lookkin.

No. I'm a proud gun owner.
I need them for my hobbies (hunting, reenacting, target shooting) and to defend my family from intruders.
