How many people on here realize how bad multiculturalism is for America?

I challenge anyone that thinks otherwise to read both of these articles and give me a good solid arguement of how it's a good thing! If you plan to say: "oh becasue it's progressive and enriches our culture" you may as well not even answer!
Read them both in their entirety. I dare you, especially the liberals! Open your eyes people, Multiculturalism will destroy the US just like it did Rome!

Figured, those who oppose multiculturalism being a bad thing wouldn't have the guts to read these articles. Just goes to show they have no intention on hearing anything that may take away their warm and fuzzies, people may think different of you if you don't embrace this multiculture crap....OH NO! I figured a lot of you liberal weaklings would just instantly accuse me of racism. How is wanting to preserve ones culture, especially when it's being attacked and diluted daily, a racist thing?! Just because I want to see the culture that made the US great flourish and am against it's demise, I'm suddenly racist??
If you actually read them carefully and understood the articles, it states that earlier immigrants whether German, Irish or Italian; all from different immigration periods, all had similar culture: european western judeo-christian beliefs! Plus they all embraced and integrated the culture and language in the US when they got here! I guess most of you are so brainwashed, you'll never understand until it's to late!

The natives didn't form this country and never would have if not for the early European settlers, so your arguement for them is irrelevant! The cut off point would be when immigrants started to shun our culture and wanted only there culture present, and decided not to integrate them into our belief structure and language!

These people who like Multiculturalism have no clue what is truly going on. I have no problems with other cultures or people for that matter but I do think that America is going to have problems if we embrace this idea too tightly. This will not bring us together as a country but balkanize us under the feel-good guise of multiculturalism. I liked your links. Don't let the nit-wits get you down. Keep fighting!

First of all, those articles were written by white supremacists who havn't had enough schooling to know that "Clan" is spelled wiht a "c" and not a "k". The definition of multiculturalism is --the doctrine that several different cultures (rather than one national culture) can coexist peacefully and equitably in a single country(dictionary.com). it is not a "fusion" of cultures, but a coexistence. If OCngress did everything in spanish too, it wouldn't detract from ur understadning of it, it would only help other latinos understand it more. You dont have to combine Judaism and CHristianity, u just have to acknowledge that it is there and respect its worshippers. Nobody can force anybody else to speak a certain language, Just learningn it would help you communicate better with those around you. IT won't destroy America as long as we dont get swept up by it. You dont have to give in to someone's opinion and make thanksgiving a national day of mourning. Just because there is a black history month doesnt mean u have to celebrate it. Just stick to your guns and you'll be alright. You jsut can't force anybody to do anyhitng.

ANd uh, since when did "different cultures peacefully living together" destroy Rome. Rome went down because of a sacrifice of human morals. TOo much corruption, greed and savagery.

Multi culturalism is part of this country. First came French, English and Dutch….each as foreign as any culture today and yet they survived and built this county. Next came Germans, Irish, Polish, Italians. Again cultures that were radically different but yet we survived and became a superpower. Now Africans, Asians and Central/South American are settling and we are still a strong county. We are best-situated country to deal with a global economy since we can relate and adapted to foreign markets.

West European we so similar in cultures that they were constantly at war with each other and seek the total destruction of each other.

Well my ancestors held land titles written in German and only spoke German....ohh that land was in Virgina. Obviously you don't know your history....Does the phrase "Irish need not apply" mean anything. And why do we celebrate St Patrick's day, Cinco DeMayo, Oktoberfest, Chinese New year ect ect ect.

By the way Hitler didnt belive in multiculturalism either.

Each country has the choice concerning who gets to come in on a Visa or become a citizen. Nearly everyone in the USA has a mixture of different cultures. Now, Hitler was trying to invent the perfect race, didn't work, but a lot of innocent people died because of him. I wish our government would watch the gates a little closer and maybe the world would be better who knows.
USA is the melting pot, so get a big spoon and stir away.

America's multiculturalism has nothing to do with the genocide of the Armenian, Jews, or other ethic groups worldwide.

However; the summarizing of America's greatness, is solely attributed to the vary best of different cultures; commingled to help us paramount many odds; other country fail at without reservation.

I have read the articles and still point to the fact: Dr. Martin L. King, Jr; approach to Civil Rights: to be inclusive; never exclusive to the American dream, rights, and pursuit to happiness.

The first principle of multiculturalism is the equality of all cultures. Has America reached this point; perhaps or perhaps not. Yet, as iron sharpens iron; so does the conscious of one man to another.

Both articles are nothing more than opinions, and thinly-veiled attempts to justify racism and sexism. I really take issue with the part about adult-child sexual relations becoming part of the mainstream. You will never convince me, or the certain majority of Americans whether liberal or conservative, white or black, that this country condones pedophilia of any kind.

These two gentlemen are having a hard time coping with a country that is growing and changing. That's too bad, but hardly an excuse to rage about multiculturism.

I see it everyday, in the news on TV, in any city with to uch diversity. The day when I, a white male with christian values is stereotyped as an evil racist and my culture is evil and racist. All the while every other foreigners culture is golden and propped up on a pedalstal, is a sign that the US is doomed for failure. It's time we got back what is ours, like the 1st article said, this nation was created by white europeans with western judeo-christian beliefs and it should stay that way.

OK, 1st of all, I do not belong to a white club. My ancestry is European but was of Irish and German...Neither (at the time) belonged to a greater white culture, esp. the Irish. being farmers, they weren't part of anything but their own families. I do not instantly think of myself as white, but as ethnic German with a little Irish thrown in (and to some people in the past, Irish were not considered white enough). There is a lot of heritage to claim from both origins and I do not give a hoot for Anglo Saxon heritage because it's not a part of me. The US is not a all Protestant, all white country...there are people who want to believe it is, but it is not the truth. My culture is what my parents taught me, not what your parents taught you. This link you provided is really just crap from people with an agenda to prove that the US is a "white" country".

No one can destroy your culture, only you can do that. and if you mire yourself in the past, you will not adapt to inevitable change...culture is family mostly
