Do you think the media have been responsible in their coverage? Why? If not, how would you have liked to see it changed?

I would like to see it reported and then move on. I agree it is a tragedy. The continual media coverage MAY lead to copycats just as the Columbine did. and speaking of media coverage how many wil overdose because of the chubby Playboy model who married an elderly millionaire?

Might if some sad , sick individual is really in need of attention... the copycat threat makers are already coming out of the woodwork across the country.

The media always claims people have a right to know.
But I believe they just don't know when to leave it go.

Campus threats forced lock-downs and evacuations at universities and grade schools in seven states on Tuesday, a day after a Virginia Tech student's shooting rampage killed 33 people.

One threat in Louisiana directly mentioned the massacre in Virginia, while others were reports of suspicious activity in Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, North Dakota, South Dakota and Michigan.

These copycats need tracked down and given stiff sentences - no pleas bargains or slaps of the wrist. That way they can have all the attention they were seeking.

Unfortunately,Yes, I believe there will be copycat shootings, bomb threats etc.( one already in Austin today bomb threat), It seems to happen that way in the beginning of the school year and at the end. As far as the media is concerned I think they are doing a great job, I don't believe one can call it "saturation" after only 24 hours.
