Kizzy well said I totaly agree with what you say, well regulated and proof of use is important and I also want to see illegal guns of our streets.

You have a right to your opinions, I have right to mine.
For the record I am not anti gun per say, if there is a legitimate reason for the owner to have that gun and they have passed stringent tests as to there suitability to possess a gun then I do not have a problem with them, it is there ready availability that worries me. What possible legitimate need has an English major for a gun?
People who go on about the right to bare arms seem to forget that freedom of speech is also a fundamental right.
What is sick is that a young man who was clearly unbalanced was able to buy a gun and kill 32 innocent people. If stringent checks had been in place the fact that he had been referred to counselling due to his worrying behaviour could have come up and could have prevented this tragedy.

Hey fella, you are the anti. When the majority of the people in this country want some kind of controls to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and nut cases all you and the NRA loonies do is cry about their God Given Constitutional Right to own guns of every kind. If you and your friends would get behind or craft some decent legislation to control gun sales until people are proven not to be criminals or mentally ill and if there is a decent waiting period which would help prevent certain crimes of passion, then maybe you would find that the people you are ranting about are decent people that just don't want their heads blown off. Help, don't rant.

The only purpose of a handgun is to kill people. That's why it was invented. If gun ownership among the responsible (sic) was limited to,say, a rifle or similar (not the AA guns or the grenade launchers, or the rocket launchers) surely everything else could be banned from private ownership. That would probably avoid loss of life, and satisfy the testosterone-fuelled NRA (as if anything could!) BTW I am in the UK
